Dr. Hannah Walker is an associate veterinarian and one of the newest members of the Amazia Veterinary Service team. Before earning her veterinary degree, she spent approximately four years working as a veterinary assistant during summers and school breaks. Her professional interests include swine medicine, cattle, and food-animal care. She especially enjoys the variety veterinary medicine offers and the opportunity to build meaningful connections with clients and their animals.
Dr. Walker has wanted to become a veterinarian since she was six years old. Watching two of her older siblings pursue the same dream strengthened her interest, while growing up with pets and livestock allowed her to see firsthand the important role veterinarians play in caring for animals and helping the people who love them. She hopes to continue expanding her work with swine and cattle clients and is also conversational in Spanish.
At home, Dr. Walker has a mixed-breed dog named Emilia, who was adopted from Mexico, along with three cats: Giuseppe, Leo, and Naomi. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, reading, archery, gardening, playing soccer, and exploring her new surroundings. If she could own any animal, she would choose a sloth!
